Finally got myself to the cinema to see Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour movie yesterday. And I have to say, it’s pretty impressive!! Taylor Swift has copped a lot over the years, but she’s not let any of it sway her, and instead has stayed true to her own creative vision, and has remained consistently prolific in her work. And this is her best project to date! Taylor has always been an incredible songwriter with the ability to build an entire little universe in each song she creates, and really, at its’ essence, this movie showcases just that – it’s Taylor Swift, the storyteller, doing what she does best. The highlight of the movie for me was the incredible ten minute version of ‘All Too Well’ (and if you don’t know the song, Google it and listen, you’ll thank me later)! Visually, the Eras Tour is magnificent, which is something we’ve come to expect from a Taylor Swift concert, but it’s the cinematography that really captures this and pulls in the cinema audiences so that they feel they are part of the stadium and actually watching the show. One of the very best concerts I’ve watched on the big screen in a long time. If you haven’t yet seen it, go go go!
